When we were first coming up with the idea of the Giggling Gourmet line, we looked to actual food in order to come up with color palettes and design features. Furthermore, we decided to combine baby's love of food with evergreen play patterns to create a pretty unique and fun toy line. As a result, Giggling Gourmet ended up having the most consistent visual design language out of all of the toy lines that have since been created at Kids II.

You Crack Me Up!
Another tried and true play pattern we utilized for the Giggling Gourmet line was the put and take. This is a simple, yet repeatable, action that babies love to do over and over and over again. In order to tie it back to the theme, I made the toys fun baby sized eggs that fit into a carton. When baby correctly matches up the cracked eggs, they are rewarded with lights and melodies. Also, in order to help develop gross motor skills, the 3 full eggs in the back can be removed and become shakers for fun music play. Parents also loved that the egg carton keep everything stored and together so it's easy find everything come play time.
